A veteran of New York's anti-folk scene, Regina Spektor (born February 18, 1980) makes quirky, highly eclectic, but always personal music. Born and raised in Moscow until age nine, she and her family settled in the Bronx, New York, in 1989. Spektor, bronx girl by way of moscow who writes songs for the piano, voice, drum stick, and guitar (sort of). other instruments may follow. Her latest album, 'Begin To Hope'.
