ALIEN SPACESHIP CRASHES IN ARIZONA DESERT TOWN

Silver City, Ariz. - An unknown alien craft witnessed by Apache Nation members and locals has brought more than just tourism to this booming Arizona mining town. A communication blackout quickly resulted in the city council announcing a 'call to arms' against the illegal aliens. "They're hiding among us," one councilman shouted. "Communications with federal governing officials have failed and support seems meager from elsewhere," another called. A statement from the Mayor's Office said, "Were not dealing with these aliens anymore and we can only identify them by the real color of their skin." A rider was quickly dispatched to deliver the disposition of the towns dire situation affecting the citizens of Silver City, Arizona.

Cowboys & Aliens (2011)

Universal Studios 2011 comic-to-screen adaptation by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby in the hands of Director Jon Favreau and DreamWorks could bring more than just tourism to a beleaguered Arizona. Filming began in late June at the Randsburg, CA studio and select , NM locations plotting Silver City, Arizona as the latest in 'old west' alien sci-fi; breeding even the most ancient of American immigration relationships, "even shoulders" so-to-speak between the Apache Nation and settlers with many well known differences upon witnessing an alien spaceship crash land in their city. Is it really a fair gunfight if that dude has six eyes and an extra trigger finger?

Cast: Noah Ringer, Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde

Witching and BitchingWhen Arthur Miller wrote "The Crucible," he presented us with a crackerjack story of actual events: the Salem Witch trials in which a relatively small number of people were burned at the stake, some after being outed by children. The play had no humor to speak of, it was deadly serious. Miller was using "The Crucible" as a metaphor for the 1950s investigations of right-wing extremist Senator Joseph McCarthy, whose "witch hunt" claimed that there were 57 communists in the U.S. State Department. As in the 17th century, no evidence turned up of any witches, or communists, in the State Department.
